Riverbed
02:51
|
|||
Grease upon that middle western metal
Still I keep on pressing on
Pressing on the pedal, strange diluted hazel
Hazel stranger in my bones
River take me to your leader
Some mountain with a mind to feed her
Take me off the parking meter
Tuck me in your bed
Hold me to that simple state
Til my will cooperates
And like your streams it gives and takes
And stays there
Greet me o you gleaming stream
Beseech me to come on in
Love me, oh, and be my friend
And follow me for days on end

A Dream Of You
02:33
|
|||
Dream a dream of me
I'll dream you a dream so true
That way it seems that wherever I am
I'll walk hand in hand with you
Sing a song for me
I'll be singing a song for you
In my head I'll hum the tune
To keep me from feeling so blue
I fear that we may never be free
I don't know if this war has an end
So I will dream of you, my friend
Til the day that we meet again
Pray a prayer for me
I'll be praying to the father for you
Near, far, wherever we are
He'll daily our spirits renew
Every night I cry for you
I weep until I cannot go on
I know there's nothing I can do
But to stand on the rock I'm upon

Frailty
04:03
|
|||
Before I go I need to say
The finer things are made of clay
And toys and stones that break our hearts
I know, I know, I know
You should have left me paralyzed
But disbelief and other forms of disguise
And you take, you fake your frail and laden heart
Now I understand when you say you're down upon your knees
That's what they call frailty

One Star Spot
02:46
|
|||
I knew a man who lived on the sea
He was a traitor to his own country
He loved a woman who lived in an island hut
Who loved a world that would never hook them up
He dreamt of her most every night
Stared at the stars and their flickering light
When any star got old, they'd fall into his lap
The waves, they rocked his boat and led him into nap
One morning, watching, he saw from afar
The island burning from a falling star
He rode to shore and he found that island girl
Who cried a river when she lost her little world
The man suggested to leave her land
Sail on the ocean and start again
The island woman never did look back
At night one star spot faded to a lovely black

Picture Of A Painting
03:14
|
|||
We don't know here you live
But we can see inside your head
Every flaw will surely end up dead
Something come alive
Put on the shoes, don't recognize
What is coming to take my life
My little baby holding a Navy
Picture of a painting taken in the sixties
Oh no no no
